New litter bins to fight the seagulls

Installation of new Seagull proof litter bins throughout the town

In February 2006 the completion of this project took place with new and additional bins placed throughout the town.

Further to extensive trials of the new bin over the summer period of 2005 Carrick District Council was committed to not only replacing all existing open bins in the town with the new Seagull proof bins but also to introduce additional bins where needed.

Carrick District Council encourages Local businesses to sponsor the seagull proof litter bins located in the centre of Falmouth.

Litter Campaign

Each litter bin will display the logo of the business on the front at their preferred location.
